FIELDS DIRECTOR
- Organize and supervise a crew of helpers to maintain the soccer fields and facilities that WAYSC is responsible for
- Ensure that each location is a safe environment for our teams (no broken or dangerous equipment, safe playing surfaces, etc.)
- Inform the equipment director of the program needs (goals, nets, paint, flags, etc)
- Stock all boxes with goals, flags, sand, paint, field striping device, nets, etc
- Pick up paint and deliver all field boxes.
- Make sure all the other paint boxes are put in storage
- Make sure that all fields are striped and cut as needed
- Walk the fields regularly to pick up debris
- Cancel game and/or practice sessions when field is not in playing condition due to current or recent weather conditions
- Leave a message on the WAYSC hotline on game days indicating if the games will be cancelled.
- On Saturday games, take down goals and nets, if coaches have not. The coaches of the last games on Saturday are responsible for taking down the nets and putting them away properly in the box.
