Registration Information
The information below will assist you with registering your son or daughter to play soccer in our club. To register, you must fill out a form and submit it to the club; sorry, at this time we cannot take online registrations but we can take payments online. We hope to be able to add online registration in the future.
Steps to Register

- Determine the program cost from the information below.
- Submit both the Registration Form and the Payment bu July 1st to avoid the $50 late fee. The late fee does not apply to Tiny Kickers players. Payments may be made by check, credit card, or online using credit card. To pay online by credit card, select the correct "Paypal Payment" button in the lower left corner.
General Information
Player Age Groups
The age group of your child is determined by their age as of August 1 of the year in which they are playing. This is similar to the school year.
| Age Group | Age as of August 1st |
| U5 | 4 |
| U6 | 5 |
| U8 | 6 or 7 |
| U10 | 8 or 9 |
| U12 | 10 or 11 |
| U14 | 12 or 13 |
| U16 | 14 or 15 |
Registration Schedule and Deadlines
Registration is made for one year which includes a Fall season and a Spring season. A limited ability to register for the Spring only is available but the fees are not reduced to 1/2 the full year fee as many fixed costs exist, i.e. insurance, uniforms, soccer balls, fields, etc.
| Registering For | Pay By to Avoid Late Fee |
| Full Year/Fall | July 1st |
| Spring* | March 1st |
Late Registration*
A $50 late registration fee is incurred for all registrations after the deadline.* Spring and late registrations are accepted as long as space is available. At the close of registration on July 1st, teams are formed. As space exists on teams, players will be added. Also, if enough additional players and coaches exist, then additional teams may be added.
Tiny Kickers
Boys and girls U5 and U6 play in WAYSC's intramural league. Teams consist of mixed boys and girls. Cost is $100 per year. The cost for Fall or Spring only is $70.Recreational
Recreational play is available to all boys and girls from 6 - 14 (check Player Age Group chart above to make sure player is U14). The Recreational level program is for limited competition and ensures that all players learn soccer and play at least half of each game.Boys and girls in the U8 age group play in an intramural league. Boys and girls are on separate teams in separate divisions and play within their divisions only.
Cost for the 2007-2008 season is $190.
Cost for Fall 2007 or Spring 2008 only is $150.
For players in U10 and up, teams are formed and play within the Fox Valley Soccer League. The FVSL includes clubs from McHenry, Woodstock, Fox River Grove, Wonder Lake and other nearby communities. WAYSC plays within the FVSL as the number of in-house teams we have are limited; by working with other clubs, we provide the players a chance to play against many different teams with differing abilities. Some travel to games in nearby communities is required.
The Recreation fee covers the following items. Many of these items are fixed costs and are not incurred as games are played in the Fall and Spring. For this reason, the Fall only or Spring only fee is not 1/2 the full year fee.
Fixed Cost Items
- Uniform
- Soccer Ball
- Insurance
- IYSA Registration
- Field Development and Maintenance
- Game Equipment
- Coach Equipment
- Fundraising Fee - $50 (Each player recovers this fee if they participate in the Fundraiser.)
- Club Administrative Costs (Some costs are fixed like IRS filings, phone number, P.O. Box)
- Coach training and licensing
- Trophy (Provided in the Spring for all players regardless of season played)
Costs incurred as the season continues
- Referees
- Club administrative costs (postage, copies, etc)
- Club opening night parade and year end picnic
Select/Travel
Teams and age groups are formed based on demand. That is, if enough players in any age group, i.e. U9 (8 years old by August 1st), tryout, then a team is formed. If less demand exists than is needed for a team, when possible the players will be grouped into a higher age group, i.e. 8 year olds play on an U10 travel team.Modifications to the Laws of the Game are determined by the League in which the team plays.
Boys teams play in the Young Sportsmen's Soccer League, YSSL.
Girls teams play in the Illinois Women's Soccer League, IWSL.
The Select Fee for 2007-2008 is TBD.
