TRAVEL/SELECT COORDINATOR
- Set up and run the WAYSC travel try-outs
- Supply the Publicity Director with your dates and tryout particulars 30 days before the tryout date, so it can properly be publicized at least 14 days prior to the tryouts
- Insure that the travel portion of the program is run by the guidelines WAYSC has established
- Organize and run (with the WAYSC board) travel coaches meeting prior to the start of practices (early August at the latest). The meeting should include distribution of all necessary WAYSC rule, guidelines and manuals, schedules, maps, etc. There should also be a first aid clinic included at this meeting. All necessary coaches' paperwork will be filled out and submitted to the IYSA coordinator.
- Organize and run a committee/coaches selection meeting with the objective to choose teams, hand out coaches' packets with information pertaining to team registration and strict guidelines on how to register the team and collect appropriate fees. It is then your responsibility to see that all team packets are mailed by the deadline and all monies are turned over to the Treasurer.
- Send a WAYSC approved letter to all children who attended tryouts that will not be placed on a team within 48 hours of the selection meeting.
- Supply a game schedule to each director. This will insure that the necessary game day arrangements can be made (field maintenance, concessions, etc). Also post a game schedule on the website.
- Attend or assign a representative to attend all required YSSL and IWSL meetings (or any other travel league WAYSC belongs to). Provide a report of any meetings which you attend or have sent representatives to, at the next WAYSC board meeting
- Insure that all travel coaches understand and are coaching within the WAYSC guidelines (constitution, bylaws, policies, etc)
- Field and answer any questions or concerns that the travel coaches, parents or players may have and report to WAYSC any major concerns. You will be the contact person between the board of directors and the program
- Any disciplinary action the board deems necessary (written warning, suspension, expulsion, etc) to impose on any travel coach, parent or player, will be your responsibility
- Attend all board meetings
