Wauconda Area Youth Soccer Club

PUBLICITY DIRECTOR

Serve as an information liaison between the Wauconda Area Youth Soccer Club and the general public.
Plan and organize the opening kick off parade
Publicize all of the clubs events in the community newspaper on storefront windows, Library, Schools, Park and Recreation guides,
Arrange for a reporter to attend and photograph events such as the opening day ceremony and soccer camp
Create and distribute registration flyers, picnic flyers, opening ceremony flyers, etc. to all of the players and schools when necessary
Contact schools for meetings and any other association need (Field Development)
Plan and organize the end of season picnic
Contact professional sports teams for public appearances.
Attend all board meetings
Adhere to the following timeline of duties

February/March- Advertise any open registrations for the spring season (Wauconda & Fremont Schools). Contact any professional teams to reserve for the end of season picnic. Prepare information for coaches with upcoming events (picture night, fund raising, etc...).
April/May- Start planning and organizing the end of season picnic. Prepare the travel team flyer to advertise tryouts (Wauconda & Fremont Schools).
May- Finalize plans for the picnic (usually held the first weekend in June). Get approval and distribute flyers for the end of year picnic and registration for next season.
June - Run Picnic event. Promote and advertise program at local summer events (Lake Fest, Wauconda Fest, etc…).
August- Reserve the Wauconda High School for the opening kick-off parade (complete usage forms). Start planning the parade and continue to promote the fall season through flyers and local newspapers. Prepare and distribute flyer for September parade.
September- Publicize, plan, and run opening kick-off parade. Continue to promote fall season through local events (school events, community events, etc...).
October-December - Publicize additional events for WAYSC (indoor, clubs, etc...).
